Blacklist escapes Nexplay EVOS in thriller, books slot in MPL PH top rack
Blacklist International earned its place in the top bracket after escaping Nexplay EVOS in a Game Three, 2-1, thriller in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines on Saturday afternoon.
In addition to securing one of the top two seats in the playoffs, Blacklist International also recorded their 11th straight win with 28 points.
The Tier One-backed team, despite playing from behind throughout the match, managed to get Luminous Lord into the 23-minute mark after beating Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera’s Grock.
Then a crucial mistake on the part of Lancelot of John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, who used his ghost execution to control the bush, ended Nexplay EVOS ‘hopes as Blacklist International punished him directly.
Natan de Kiel “OHEB” Soriano, who maintained Blacklist International in the early stages of the match, was named the SMART 5G MVP in the narrow victory of the third match which lasted 26 minutes and 11 seconds.

Blacklist International snowballed early in Game 1, featuring an 8-3 dominating spectacle to drain the life of Nexplay EVOS.
Salic “Hadjizy” Imam’s playing abilities were fully visible in the first match, winning the SMART 5G MVP award with one kill and five deaths without a single death in the match which lasted 16 minutes and 14 seconds.
Fighting for dear life, Nexplay EVOS entered Game 2 with vengeance – relying on H2wo’s Lancelot to force a decision. He finished with nine assists, one death and three assists in the 15-6 victory.
Nexplay EVOS regained fifth place with 15 points on a ranking of 4-6.
Blacklist International will face the second ONIC PH tomorrow, Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Meanwhile, Nexplay EVOS will face TNC later today at 8:00 p.m. ET.
