Find out when the locally filmed ‘Billions’ series ‘Blacklist’ will air
If you’ve missed those fleeting glimpses of recognizable locations in NBC’s Showtime series “Billions,” “The Blacklist,” and more, the wait will soon be over. From Hallmark Channel to HBO, new series and movies will be released this fall that have filmed scenes from the Hudson Valley.
The production crews for “Billions,” now in its fifth season (which began September 5) were reportedly at the Westchester Country Club this week, according to information posted on OnLocationsVacations.com. Season six is scheduled to air on January 22, 2022
The plot of the series hinged on the relationship between billionaire fund manager Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis, who left the series at the end of season 5) and his nemesis, Chuck Rhoades, played by Paul Giamatti.

During his run, filming took place throughout the Hudson Valley, from Playland and Yonkers Raceway, to the Jefferson Valley Mall and Kelly’s Sea Level restaurant in Rye. For Season 5, scenes were filmed on Chestnut Street in Yonkers, the site of Axis fictional childhood home, as well as in the ceremonial courtroom at Yonkers Town Hall.
“City on a hill,” the Showtime drama starring Kevin Bacon as a Boston detective, was in New Rochelle this week, filming scenes near Leland Avenue for season three. The series recently announced that its third season will air in 2022.
While it’s supposed to be set in Boston, there were plenty of filming done locally over its two seasons, including at Dudley’s Park View restaurant in New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, and White Plains Town Hall.
“The plumbers of the White House”, who had settled in the Hudson Valley for most of the summer and early fall, filming throughout the Hudson Valley, wrapped up filming this week, filming a scene in Los Angeles, according to a tweet from producer David Mandel. No date has been announced for its premiere.

NBC drama season 9 “The blacklist” started on October 21.
A crime thriller revolving around a former US Navy officer turned leading criminal (James Spader), the series shot scenes in Pearl River in early October, at the Post Office, and on Ridge and Franklin Streets.
HBO Max “The sex life of college girls”which was filmed at Vassar College in May, will premiere on November 18. The Mindy Kaling-created comedy follows roommates entering their freshman year at a distinguished New England college.
The Hallmark chain “One night in December” shot in Goshen earlier this year. With Peter Gallagher and Bruce Campbell, two musical directors must put their history aside to oversee the reunion televised performance of their rock star fathers with fractured past. Its release is scheduled for November 13.
“Raise Kanan,“a Starz series which is a prequel to” Power, “shot scenes on October 6 in Nyack, turning local stores into sets, including Grace’s Thrift Shop, which turned into Elegant Manors for the set. In the 90s, it explores how its main character, Stark, became a ruthless murderer.There is no date for the Season 2 premiere.
“The wife of the time traveler”, The upcoming HBO series, starring Rose Leslie and Theo James, is still in production, but scenes were filmed in Pleasantville, Purchase, and Yonkers, which were dressed to look like Christmas in July, complete with fake snow and evergreens.
“Golden age”, another HBO series, still in production, is from “Downton Abbey” creator Julian Fellowes. It all began in 1882 with the orphan daughter of a Union general, who moved into her wealthy aunts’ house in New York. Production crews were spotted throughout the Hudson Valley for filming, including at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club.
