Samara Weaving Stars in Comedy Thriller ‘Borderline’
australian actress Samara weaving is set to star in Jimmy Warden’s comedy thriller “Borderline.”
It also stars Eric Dane, Ray Nicholson, Alba Baptista, Jimmie Fails and others.
“Borderline” centers on a helpless, romantic sociopath who escapes from a mental institution and invades the home of a 90s pop superstar. He just wants to be loved when she just wants to survive.
It marks the directorial debut of Warden, who also scripted the film, which was blacklisted, a popular annual survey of the most popular scripts.
The film is produced by Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara of LuckyChap Entertainment, Hadeel Reda of Red A Entertainment and Brian Duffield.
Principal photography is currently underway in Vancouver.
Executive producers include William G. Santor, Andrew Chang-Sang and John Hills for Productivity Media Inc (PMI), alongside Shawn Williamson and Jameson Parker for Brightlight Pictures, Mimi Steinbauer for Radiant Films International and Colleen Camp.
LuckyChap’s Bronte Payne and Denise Loren are also co-producers on the project.
“Borderline” is funded by Productivity Media, Inc. Steinbauer’s Radiant Films International represents worldwide film rights and co-represents US rights alongside CAA. Radiant Films International is the global sales company that acquires and distributes feature films for overseas and US markets.
Warden had also penned the screenplay for Netflix’s cult comedy horror film ‘The Babysitter: Killer Queen’, also starring Weaving.
Weaving next appears in “Chevalier” alongside Lucy Boynton, Minnie Driver and Sian Clifford. This film will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival.
