The cast of the Walking Dead spin-off series revealed

AMC has revealed new cast members for Tales of the Walking Dead, their upcoming spin-off series based on the world of The Walking Dead. The episodic anthology series produced by AMC Studios will star Olivia Munn (Violet), Danny Ramirez (The Falcon & The Winter Soldier), Loan Chabanol (Fading Gigolo), Embeth Davidtz (Old, Ray Donovan), Jessie T. Usher (The Boys), and Gage Munroe (Nobody).

Each of the six hour-long episodes will focus on new and existing characters based on the setting of the original series. It will air this summer on AMC and AMC+.

Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer for The Walking Dead Universe, and showrunner Channing Powell, writer-producer for The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, will executive produce the series.

Munn was recently seen in Justine Bateman’s indie drama Violet, which she wrote and directed. She also appeared in the Netflix romantic comedy Love, Wedding, Repeat as well as the crime thriller The Gateway. Her television credits include an arc on Fox’s New Girl and the Showtime docuseries Years of Living Dangerously by James Cameron and Jerry Weintraub. She is best known for her role as Sloan Sabbith in Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom. CAA and Atlas Artists represent her.

Ramirez recently appeared on television as Joaquin Torres in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. On the big screen, he will next be seen in the suspense/thriller Hulu No Exit, which will be produced by The Queens Gambit co-creator Scott Frank. He also co-stars with Tom Cruise in Paramount’s upcoming Top Gun: Maverick and Lili Reinhart in Netflix’s Plus/Minus. He has just finished filming The Stars at Noon for filmmaker Clair Denis, in which he co-stars with Joe Alwyn and Margaret Qualley.
